For just a moment I would like you to think about your car. Think about the body of the car, i.e. the chassis , and the engine of the car that runs everything. What kind of fuel do you put into your car? When you go into the gas station do you feel up with the cheapest gas available, or do you spend a little bit of extra money to buy the good stuff, the higher quality of gas.

Now think of your body, think of your body as the chassis of your car, and your brain as the engine of the car. What kind of fuel are you are you putting into  your body? Are  filling it with negative images, messages, thoughts and emotions? Are filling it with constant criticism , complaints,  negative words, rumors, gossip, and news stories?

OR are you filling your body and brain with positive images, positive messages, positive words, and uplifting ideas, and stories? You may ask, what does this have to do with my health? How can words, pictures and emotions effect my physical health?

The answer lies in the energy of stress, versus the energy of relaxation. it. Every cell, every muscle, every nerve, and body part, can and is effected by the stress. We are raised in a culture where this is the norm. We are raised to believe that gossiping, telling rumors, complaining is a way of life. We see it on television, in the movies, we hear it from the adults in our lives, we hear it from our political leaders, and we hear it from our religious leaders.

These words that we speak, these images that we fill ourselves with, these emotions that we flood out bodies with, are the source of some of greatest aches, pains, and illnesses.

We try to cover these aches, pains, illnesses with food, smoking, drugs, alcohol, obsessive compulsive behaviors, and yet the stress producing thoughts, and emotions persist. Our bodies and our brains begin to wear down from negative, and impure thoughts and emotions. Just like our car begins to show wear and tear from the fuel we put into it.

These stress can manifest in high incidences of physical injury, high blood pressure, weight gain, YES weight gain caused by extra cortisol in the body, which is caused by stress.   Drs. are finding that cancer is exacerbated by stress,  chronic pain from physical injuries is exacerbated by stress. Stress is the number health crisis in the country today.
