I subscribe to a service called Dictionary, and in one of the emails that I received from them I read the following statement, “Mental Health Awareness Month is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues, highlighting the resources for maintaining and improving mental health, and removing the stigmas around these conditions”.
I am receiving more and more calls and e-mails from people who are feeling stressed and drained from the effects of the year that we have all being going through with a world Pandemic which has included social distancing, constantly being required to wear a mask, and isolating with very limited travel. Bottom line is that there is a lot of anger and stress that we are all being flooding with on a daily basis. I have people who are calling for resources the will help with addictions / coping mechanisms, that include drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, food, and our Reponses of tension, stress, and anger.
A lot of people who contact me are new to the idea of Hypnosis and effective this type of technique is in helping maintaining and improving mental health.

I would also like to point out that experiencing and living with emotional / mental health issues is not a thing to be hidden or be ashamed of. We all go through periods of stress, anxiety and tension. This is part of the human condition. We all try to cope with these issues is various ways. Sometimes we get stuck in the cycle of the coping mechanism, (food, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, behaviors), and when we realize this, when we come to the decision that we want to change, this is something to be grateful for and to take credit for.
Just knowing that you / we need to change our course, we need to find newer, healthier coping mechanisms, show that we are, or we are becoming aware.
