Hypnotherapy has been found to be the most effective form of treatment, beating out both Psychoanalysis and Behavior Therapy. During my years as a Certified Hypnotherapists, I have had clients come to see me for many different reasons and complaints. These resons range from Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Quittting Smoking, Pain Management control, and the list goes on.
The clients tell me that they haved tried other techniques and therapies, but nothing seems to work. In fact, in a recent study in American Health Magazine listed the following findings.
• Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions
• Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions
• Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after SIX sessions
I have given the issue of why Hypnotherapy is such an effective means of therapy. Working in the field of Socail Work and Therapy for over 28 + years I have watched as clients go through traditional theraputic techniques which constantly focus on the issues and complaints. Each week clients come in and talk with their therapist about what is keeping them stuck, They talk about all of the negative issues in their lives, and never really explore solutions to these issues, accept in the form of perscription medication, that numbs them up to their feelings.
I have been lucky enough that I studied another approach early on in my career, That approach is Hypnotherpy, which includes Mindfulness techniques, NLP, and Life Coaching.
With Hynotherpy, the client is taught that when they focus on their thoughts and emotions, they are giving up their own power, their own ability to direct their thoughts emotions. A lot has been stated and taught about the Law of Attraction, in the last several years. What you focus on creates your attitude. Your attitude can be either positive or negative dependent upon your focus. With the power of Hypnotherapy, you will taught skills and tools that allow you to be the master of your thoughts, the master of your emotions. With that mastery comes the ability to focus on the positive things in your life and your life circumstances.
Our minds react to the words and images that we fill it with, whether we doing this consciously or uncounsciously. Words are very powerful, and often times that power is misunderstood. The mind does not the meaning of the words no, not, or don’t, If I were to say to you right now, don’t think of a snow storm, I can assure you that you are thinking of a snow storm. With Hypnotherapy, NLP, and Life coaching you are taught such techniques as the poser of positive comments. Instead of don’t think of a snow storm, you will start using phrases such as, think of a sunny bright day. With the “don’t think of a snowstorm, your mind immeditely thought of a snow storm. With “think of a sunny bright day”, your mind immediately went to a scene of a bright sunny day. In the one case your mind reacted to the don’t statement seeing the unwanted scene, and flooding the mind and body with negative emotions. With the “think of a bright sunny day” your mind reacted to the second statement by seeing the sunny scene and flooding the body with positive emotions.
Change your thinking, change your life!
